On a rainy autumn morning, one thousand randomly generated Junk Food Punks emerged as a force from the very depths of the NFTVerse. These wild and modern city dwellers are scattered across the vast expanse of the Ethereum Blockchain network, however, they can sometimes be seen casually hanging out with friends around local corner stores, indulging in their favorite midnight treats, plotting world domination, or simply going about their spunky lives.

What are Junk food Punks?

Junk Food Punks are history in the making. Inspired by Popular culture and the ever-growing CryptoArt movement, this project started as an eclectic collection of 1000 distinct and randomly generated social avatars of varying rarities, with proof of ownership. A curated collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) created in late August 2021. Every Junk Food Punk has a resolution of 2500 x 2500 pixels, and will be available to mint and purchase at a price of .01 ETH on  OpenSea’s official homepage. 

What exactly is an NFT?

An NFT stands for “Non-fungible token” and is a fancy way of saying it’s a unique, one of a kind digital item that users can buy, own, and trade. Non-fungible tokens are the delicate tendencies of the Decentralization domains, allowing content producers to reach a wider audience and spread their creativity globally. Some NFTs main functions are to be digital art and look cool, some offer additional utility like exclusive access to websites or participation in an event. You can think of them as super rare pieces of art that can also act as  “membership cards.”
